Have you ever faced a daunting task? Did you feel like putting it off for later? This is procrastination at work. It stems from anxiety, a fear of failure, or not knowing where to begin. The 5-Minute Rule is a simple strategy that helps you get started. It’s a psychological trick for your brain to take the first step.
Many of us struggle with procrastination. I know I do and that’s why I write this. I have been learning and applying methods that increase my productivity. The 5-Minute Rule offers an effective solution. It involves committing to working on something for five minutes. I find myself working past that once I go over those five minutes.
This sounds simple. Most things are. Still, this approach has changed the game for me. It’s my way of breaking the cycle of procrastination and building momentum. This leads to sustained productivity.
